European Project PLAnT: Planning for Sustainable Use of the Antarctic Ocean

​The session of the Sea Seminar, organized by the Lisbon Geographical Society together with MARE-ULisboa, toke place on October 27 dedicated to project PLAnT. Postdoctoral researchers Catarina Pereira Santos and Francisco Oliveira Borges presented and discuss the five pillars of project PLAnT and present preliminary results, from the development of projections and future scenarios to the analysis of the Antarctic governance system, to the transferability of PLAnT's results towards a climate-resilient global ocean.

The session was moderated by Ricardo Perdiz de Melo (MARE-ULisboa/ARNET). The 6th cycle of the Sea Seminar, organized by the Ocean Geography Section of the Lisbon Geographical Society focuses on strategy, science, and sustainability. The event toke place both in-person and online.
