'Women in Science' Award The latest edition of the book 'Women in Science' (5th edition, 2025) was launched on International Women's Day, March 8. 'Women in Science' is a dissemination project by Ciência Viva (Portuguese National Agency for Scientific and Technological Culture) to celebrate Portuguese women scientists. This new volume features 107 Portuguese women scientists from different generations and knowledge areas who have contributed greatly to science and are a source of inspiration for future young scientists. The PI of project PLAnT, Catarina Frazão Santos, is among them. She is one of the seven scientists at CIÊNCIAS ULisboa and the only one at MARE-ULisboa featured in this 5th edition due to her interdisciplinary work on marine spatial planning, climate change, and ocean sustainability.
