59th European Marine Biology Symposium The 59th European Marine Biology Symposium took place in Peniche, Portugal, from July 7 to 10, 2026. The event was organised by the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology (ESTM) at the Polytechnic of Leiria, in collaboration with the Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre. PhD student Miguel Fernandes attended the symposium and presented an oral communication about "Integrating climate risk and vulnerability into marine spatial planning: Insights from the Portuguese case study", as part of "Session S3: Marine Conservation, Management & Policy".
